Over the last five years, we’ve partnered with conservation groups across the region to protect wildlife habitats, expand land conservation and preserve scenic trails. A great example is our partnership with the West Virginia Scenic Trails Association (WVSTA) in support of the Allegheny Trail, which stretches nearly 330 miles across West Virginia. Through our partnership with WVSTA, as well as the WV Division of Natural Resources, WV Division Forestry, and The Conservation Fund, we added two miles of hiking trails, a new bridge and a parking area to improve public access and protect native streams. We also donated 1,200 acres to connect the Monongahela National Forest with the Seneca State Forest, helping to sustain precious habitat for forest wildlife. Through partnerships like this, we’ve shown how industry and the conservation community can work together to responsibly develop infrastructure while preserving our natural resources.
