On July 5, 2020, we announced the cancellation of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline (ACP). After thorough review and public input, on March 24, 2022 the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved a Restoration Plan to conclude the project. The approved plan is the best way to conclude the project with minimal impacts to landowners while protecting the environment.
In the coming months, we will seek final FERC authorization to begin restoration work through a series of Notices to Proceed. We expect restoration work will begin in the fall of 2022 and will be completed by the summer of 2023. It will be followed by 2-3 years of post-restoration monitoring required by multiple agencies.
Once we have final authorization to begin, we will be in touch with affected landowners to discuss the timing and scope of restoration work on their property. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation as we complete this process.
For further questions, landowners should contact their land agent directly.
